1438 Tasting Notes
This smells so good! Almost creamy. I got the Tung Ting Vietnam because they were out of this last week and ended up loving it. I’m enjoying these plain oolongs much more so than the flavoured ones. I can see myself keeping this one around. Perhaps this or Tung Ting Vietnam.
Preparation
I work Friday nights at a yoga studio. Just me, my manager, and a yoga teacher. So we decided to start something new — tea parties!
Last night we brought in some of our favourites, a teapot, and teacups. We also swapped some teas and I came home with this Kusmi blend. On first scent it smelled like a fancy Earl Grey but the taste isn’t overwhelmingly bergamot.
Update February 22/13: Having this one this morning before my day begins. This is my first cup of black tea in a while and this is a sipdown.
Preparation
I have some that I can send you…it’s really not my cup of tea as I picked it up based on smell when I didn’t know I don’t really like bergamot lol. If you remind me in march I can send you some. In china ATM so I can’t exactly send anything until I get back lol
Thanks to kimlovestea for this one!
This one is really good, especially for a bagged tea.
Preparation
This one smells just like Gold Rush – evidently the mulberry takes over anything else in the mix – which is a-okay because it smells great.
This brews up an interesting green colour and smells so sweet. Hopefully the taste won’t be as sweet as the smell. From what I remember of Gold Rush this is tasting very similar, perhaps with the slightest hint of nuttiness from the macadamia. I’m enjoying it.
Preparation
This one has a bit of a bizarre smell. Not bad, just bizarre. Like the oolong and vanilla are battling for first place. It comes off kind of yogurt-y.
It’s nicer than other flavoured oolongs I’ve tried but I’m still preferring the Tung Ting Vietman unflavoured.

I was rereading this because you swapped this sample with me. I need to know, what’s the sprouted mango pit for?
Haha it’s nothing to do with the tea, just a little story because I was excited about it :P I really didn’t expect anything when I wrapped it up in wet paper towel on a whim.
Ah. I was wondering what someone was doing trying to grow mangoes in Canada…LOL.
