73 Tasting Notes
Just got an ounce of it. It was raved about in some of the tea community so I thought I would give it a try. Meh. It just tastes like Rooibos with an oil slick. I wish you could take a look at the ingredients before you buy at the store.
it was rather expensive for the quality and quantity. This is yet another tea that I am not a fan of , contrary to popular opinion.I am cold brewing it finish it faster
Polishing off the last of this tea.
ehhh. The tea smells better than it tastes. The flavor has waned so much in the short time I have had it. It has been properly stored so I am not sure if I ended up getting an older stash of it. Probably one that I would not bother getting again.
Flavors: Candy, Peppermint
Preparation
Chocolate bar pu’er from with orange peels. This tea has been one of my most coveted teas. I love the way it looks. The intermingled orange pieces with the pu’erh tea looks wonderful to me . I always admire it for a few minutes. It is a simple and comforting tea to me. It is not one that is complex tea or anything too special. It gives me a few infusions but it brings me joy like no other.
It has been out of stock since the pandemic so I have been rationing it.Today I felt that I should just drink what brings me joy instead of worrying about running out of tea.
It is a hardy tea with a full body. The liquor is woodsy and savory. I can really taste the orange in this one.
I’m seeing it on the site but out of stock like you said, your description and their photos make it look lovely. How much did it run price wise?
Another Sampler Sipdown
This one was surprisingly very good amidst all the meh teas that came as a part of the sampler. The dry leaves smell like a pancake breakfast. The tea itself is very nutty and the taste like toffee or candied pecans. It was delicious and sweet. It would make a great dessert tea. I was surprised by how much the sweetness did not overpower the tea.
Flavors: Nutty
Another Sampler Sipdown.
The dry leaves smelled of strawberries and cream. It was lovely. The brewed tea was weak. The flavor profile was not as fruity as I would have liked this time to be as well. The sencha tea which was the base was missing from the flavor profile altogether.
The flavor profiles from this tea reminds me of a similar tea from Murchie’s that was better in my opinion.
Another meh tea from the sampler.
Flavors: Strawberry
Meh. This tea came as part of a sampler set. The base was quite nice but the floral notes and the lemon balm did not work well together. It was lavender heavy on the taste and the other floral notes were missing. I didn’t realize it had jasmine and other flowers until I read the ingredients.
Flavors: Lavender
Sample Sipdown!
Smells like citrus (general). I can smell hint of grapefruit. The infusion smells like cleaner but I don’t mind it. Like the other citrus teas it tastes like cleaner with a hint of grapefruit. Again, I don’t mind the cleaner taste. It was okay. Nothing too exciting .
Flavors: Grapefruit
I don’t normally gravitate towards bagged teas as much anymore. I was drawn by the design on the box and I am a sucker for rose teas so I decided to give it a try. I am so GLAD I did. It is delicious. There is an artificial rose taste to it but it reminds me of rose candy and rose drink I grew up drinking as a child. I love it! It brought me back to those rosy days.
Flavors: Lemon, Rose
