Elderflower Citrus is a new Stash Tea blend for 2019. The soft and distinctly sweet floral flavor of elderflower blossom pairs perfectly with white tea. We’ve added a fresh citrus note with the bright flavor of yuzu, for a well-rounded and inspiring blend.

When it’s warm, I notice a decent amount of chamomile. When it’s cold, I taste a lot of floral flavor, plus some fruitiness. My partner noticed some honey notes. This was much better than I thought it would be, though not something I’d need a whole box of.

Perhaps not a “need”, but… certainly nice that you can luxuriate with cuppa after cuppa!

So I made an order with Stash to get their White Christmas tea (which is an online exclusive for some reason) and this piqued my interest so it tagged along. And I also got a couple of cute holiday mugs because I have no self-control… ^^’

Anyway! I was excited to try this one, but sadly I just don’t like it very much… The elderflower is fine, but I’m not a fan of the yuzu flavoring. It’s a bit… chemical-tasting? It’s too pithy and bitter, and it’s just an odd combination with the soft elderflower.

So I guess this is going directly into the rehoming box! :P

On their website at least, it says “Nice! You’ve discovered a Stash Tea online exclusive. You won’t find this anywhere else!” on the page for White Christmas.
