The base here is nice and grapey. Or maybe that’s the flavoring. Regardless, I’m enjoying this! Sweetened with milk, it tastes pretty sophisticated and interesting! I’d guess raisin or currant if I had to guess the flavor since who knows what this name means. Apparently it’s lemon and berry? I guess I could see that. My first cup of this was pretty nondescript, so I’m glad I waited to write a note until I finished the bag!

My straight-up dried elderberries taste just like raisins—sounds like they added some berry flavoring to zing it up a little?

Re-reviewing this one as I finish off my sample from last year’s advent exchange. Last year I remarked that it was too lemon-y and lacked berry flavor, but the cup I’m sipping now has barely any lemon sharpness. Instead it’s more of a syrup-y elderberry cream, with just a hint of lemon. There’s something almost viscous about it, but in a pleasing way. I’m really enjoying it!

Sipdown! (16 | 213)

This one is tasty, but I’m not sure I specifically get elderberry from it. I mostly taste lemon, and there is a vague dark berry sort of note, but I would guess blueberry if anything.

It’s very nice and smooth, good amount of flavor and doesn’t taste artificial. I do wish there was a bit more berry? Because the lemon is definitely the strongest flavor here, with the berry in more of a supporting role.
