The tea tour was fun just to hear the history of Celestial Seasonings and sniff the ingredients. The best part of this factory was the tea tasting where you could sample any of the current teas they are selling. The gift store was big, selling teas, teaware and clothing. I would go back here in the winter just to sample teas and warm up. They did have a few iced teas, but the majority to taste were hot teas.

This is a place to explore your tea comfort zone, by choosing a different tea from the sniff bar, and to relax to soothing music. You get to pick your own cup from the cup wall, and wait a few minutes until your tea arrives at your table (they have done the steeping for you so don’t worry about the timing). I recommend the hibiscus ginger and the ancient maiden pu-erh. Always helpful staff, an array of tea pots and tea accessories, as well as local art.

Bio

I started drinking more tea about 10 years ago when I found that even my half -caf coffee was making me jittery and then sleepy after the caffeine wore off. While I started out with mostly Teavana, but soon expanded my tea cupboard to include lapsang souchon, pu-erh, Assam, and other strong black teas. I do enjoy oolongs, green, and other teas, as well as a nice tisane for an evening cuppa.
I’m not fond of jasmine or bergamont teas, though I’ll try anything once.
I am an avid traveler, hiker, soccer player/watcher.
I love trying new tea in new places, if you see something in my cupboard you want to try, hit me up for a swap!
