“Drinking this Darjeeling today. I feel ashamed that I have not written it up before now though. The liquor is a golden brown colour. The aroma is more grassy than floral. It is creamy with a hint...” Read full tasting note

Description

SFTGFOP Darjeeling tea from the Badamtam estate, a new addition to the Wan Ling Tea House line up.

During our in house tastings, this tea was popular with the whole team. A well balanced tea, it is very easy to drink and is full of flavour. Clear bright liquor and sweet aroma.

Looking forward to our customer’s feedback on this great batch of Badamtam 1st flush tea.

For those interested, the Badamtan Tea Estate was originally owned by the Lebong Tea Company. The tea estate is located near the Rangit River. The Badamtam estate is also known on the tourist route for the 14-foot-high statue of Lord Buddha, known as the Buddha of Badamtan. Unlike the many statues which depict Buddha with his eyes closed, this statue has Buddha’s eyes wide open as if looking up to skies above. Some say this depicting the moment of having attained enlightenment.
