This tisane (Sideritis scardica) is more commonly known as [Greek] Mountain Tea or Shepherd’s Tea or Ironwort but this one in particular grows in the Pirin mountains in Bulgaria and Bulgarians call it `mursalski chai`.
This herb is said to have various health benefits such as lowering blood pressure, helping the respiratory system, liver, kidneys, fighting chronic fatigue and mental stress and even working against cancer cells.
