Description

Appearance, Flavor & Aroma:
The dry leaves of this Marangi Tea Estate Second Flush Assam are dark mahogany sprinkled with plenty of bright gold tips. The bright coppery-red infusion is brisk and bold with a very well balanced astringency and plenty of Assam’s characteristic malty flavor.

This is a perfect example of the morning-eye-opening, brisk, malty, pleasantly astringent classic style black tea that Assam’s teas are most loved for.

Estate Information:
Marangi Tea Estate lies on the banks of the river Dhansiri in the Golaghat district of the Eastern portion of Assam. Marangi Tea Estate. The total area of Marangi Tea Estate is 771 Acres (312 ha), and 566 Acres (229 ha) are under tea cultivation.

Steeping Guideline:
When infusing this Assam tea, a Western-style approach is the way to go. We recommend using 3 grams of leaf per 6-8 oz cup (approximately 2 teaspoons), water at a boil, and a 3-4 minute infusion time. Please be sure to adjust the amount of leaf, steeping time, and/or water temperature according to your taste
