This tea is special: the people who grow it, the stories and communities behind it, and its unique flavor. Most teas come from large plantations where workers have little say. We are helping to build a different system that values the voices of small farmers, their products, and democracy in trade.
Included in this blend are tea leaves grown by SOFA and processed by BioFoods — our two Sri Lankan partners. SOFA, a vibrant community of over 1,600 small-scale landowners, embraces the vision of living in harmony with the environment. Unlike mono-crop plantation that strip the land of its nutrients, SOFA farmers grow a variety of crops including pepper, cloves, and ginger, which help to preserve the land.
Ingredients: Organic black tea leaves, organic cinnamon, organic ginger, organic cardamom, organic black pepper, organic cloves.
