I had more tea leaf in this sample than made sense to use for the size of gaiwan of my last session, so I saved the awkward extra bit for a Western mug.
Definitely much, more less complexity to this tea when steeped Western, but I actually think the fresh, flowery top notes of jasmine do come off kind of stronger when made this way. Like, more distinctly jasmine than just floral if anything else. Also very, very bluntly but pleasantly toasty and nutty tasting. I’m surprised just how much I like the mix of the florals and woodier roasted nuts, but it was pretty damn delicious!
