4.2g/70 mL TWL gaiwan

wet leaf: darker, woody, sweet on edges, integrated smoke, dark fruity

1. umami, saline? The finish is some parts sweet, sour, and astringent. Some cooling in finish + salivating. Leaf fuzz in cups. Maybe a bud-heavy tea?
2. toasted, grainy, saline. sweet on edge. Focus
3. smoky, bitter on finish. Alert, focused, ready to finish work. some sweetness in the throat. lingering mint/refreshing in mouth.
4. good, but bitterness not as layered/containing as much depth as it could be. The sweetness isn’t as bright, a bit rounded like soy milk. Happy (maybe due to the caffeine?)

tried another session without notetaking. Steamed leaves before hand since was a bit dried. Tea showed much darker smoky. Good mouth/throat presence. slight incense notes on aroma. retains good texture throughout. Feeling for this tea is unique to me compared to other teas I own. I didn’t feel like it was that relaxing in a downing sense; I would drink this to get work done. Would be happy to tong this if it was a bit cheaper lol
